- Control valves, dials, and computer touch screens of machines to regulate pressure, temperature, and set cycle times.
- Observe meters and gauges to verify and record temperatures, pressures, and cycle times, and make adjustments as necessary.
- Visually inspect and measure products for surface and dimensional defects to ensure conformance to specifications, using precision measuring instruments and take action to correct any issues.
- Observe all cooling lines to ensure proper connections.
- Set up parameters according to check sheet guidelines and troubleshoot issues as necessary.
- Perform maintenance on dies in casting machines such as greasing, stoning, chiseling, and coating. Also perform general housekeeping and 5S of working areas.
- Operate torch for die plugging issues, metal spills, etc.
Qualifications:
- High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED), with strong arithmetic skill.

Responsibilities:
- Learning skills: Gain and demonstrate knowledge and ability of above skills within qualifying period.
- Safety: Responsible for PPE, 5S, reporting potential safety issues, reporting accidents, and following specific safety procedures. Also, using proper lifting technique.
- Quality: Check every wheel for obvious defects and damage.
- Output: Meet established targets for each shift and work a reasonable amount of overtime when required.
- Cost Control: Avoid excessive use of gloves, foam retention, 5S supplies, etc.
- Teamwork/Communications: Work together to achieve overall First Time Through, Yield, Goals, etc. Assist in training new Associates and participation in A4S programs highly encouraged. Communicate any issues to Front Line Leader as they occur.
- Attendance: Demonstrate excellent attendance.
- Rotate to and perform several jobs as required. (de-burring, conveyor loading, palletizing, etc.)

Effort:
- Handle approximately 2000 wheels per shift (de-burr 500, palletize 750, load 750)
- Wheel weights range from 13 to 40 lbs. and average 26.5 lbs.
- Pick-up wheels and palletize/de-palletize from approximately 20"~51" height.
- Constant standing and bending and frequent pushing, pulling or turning while moving wheels and dividers.
- Constant gripping, wrist and arm movements for up to six hours per shift.
Environment:
- Tolerate temperature of up to 90 degrees during summer months (June-Aug).
- Work near cutting fluid and mist.

Front Line Leader
Responsibilities:
- Plans and delegates production assignments under the direction of the Department Supervisor.
- Orients and trains associate to perform tasks in compliance with safety/environmental, quality, productivity, housekeeping, and general policies.
- Communicates with other departments and shifts to maintain proper coordination of production and maintenance tasks.
- Reviews and analyzes production processes and results and implements corrective action, where necessary.
- Compiles information for periodic reports with respect to various topics including quality, safety, environment, attendance, productivity, and scrap.
- Reviews associate performance and provides appropriate feedback and counseling under the direction of the Department Supervisor.
- Provides open, two-way communications with associates through daily contact, and shift start and monthly meetings.
- Assists with hands-on production tasks.
Qualifications:
- At least three years of experience with a high-volume manufacturing company is required.
- At least one year of supervisory/leadership experience is required.
- Experience with key performance indicators (KPI's), such as efficiency, scrap rates, downtime, etc. is required.
- Experience with Lean principles--visual management, creating workflow, eliminating waste, 5S, Kaizen, and continuous improvement is also required.
- High school diploma or G.E.D. is required; Related associate degree, or equivalent, is preferred.
- Working knowledge of IATF 16949 or ISO systems and standards is required.

Skills:

Responsibilities:

- Cost Control: Avoid excessive use of gloves, foam retention, 5S supplies, etc.
- Teamwork/Communications: Work together to achieve overall First Time Through, Yield, Goals, etc. Assist in training new Associates and participation in KWK programs highly encouraged. Communicate any issues to First Line Supervisor as they occur. Use excellent communication with casting operators especially when filling machines.
- Attendance: Demonstrate excellent attendance.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the department First Line Supervisor, department Supervisor and/or Superintendent.
Effort:
- Deliver molten aluminum to machines continuously through each shift.
- Tap out metal from holding furnace into a ladle.
- Complete a 6-minute degassing cycle and then dross off excess material after cycle is finished.
- Transport metal to assigned casting machine within a range of 18 to 28 times per shift, getting on and off forklift.
- Pour molten aluminum into the cast machine furnace.
- Move funnel onto elevator of below ground furnaces and in front of above ground furnaces.
- Open cast machine doors after furnace has depressurized and begin to pour metal
- Empty entire ladle into the furnace and close furnace door.
- Confirm with casting operator that pouring is complete and proceed back to tap out next ladle.
- Clean Holding furnaces using steel rakes, scraping and skimming tools to clean dross from aluminum within the furnace.
Environment:
- Tolerate temperature of up to 90 degrees and above during summer months (June-Aug). Also working near extreme heat while cleaning holding furnaces of up to 760c while wearing proper PPE.
- Handle chemicals including cleaning flux, Mg., and Sr.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma (or equivalent).
- Working knowledge of S.P.C.
- Visual ability, including color discrimination.

Responsibilities:
- Performs layout, installation, inspection, maintenance and repair of mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic machinery, equipment, and systems.
- Might perform layout installation, inspection, maintenance and repair of electronic and robotic systems and equipment.
- Might also perform building trades such as carpentry, plumbing, and sheet metal fabrication in the installation, maintenance, and repair of water, sanitary and safety/security equipment, and systems.

Qualifications:
- Working knowledge of motors, mechanical equipment, hydraulic/pneumatic systems, and personal computer operations is required. Working knowledge of 480 three-phase electrical systems, electronics, programmable logic controllers, robotics, and welding is a plus.
- Operational knowledge of precision measuring instruments, gauges, test equipment, and reading of blueprints and schematics is required.
- High school diploma (or equivalent) is required. Relevant vocational training is strongly preferred.
